Eyes

When I look at you,

I see them eyes:

Sparkle with excitement,

Exude kindness,

Reflecting your depth in loving others,

Helplessly overburdened by sadness,

Radiate with an intense happiness,

Reveal an innocent vulnerability,

Trying to overcome internal struggles, 

Wandering, searching for answers.

Hiding inner truths,

Unwanting of judgement,

Helplessly overwhelmed by a deep pain and loss.

When it becomes too much to bear, 

Tears roll down your cheeks,

There is such a thing as relief.

The eyes, 

A true mirror,

Of humanness.
